Usage Policy

The DOE SC co-Branded logos should only be obtained directly from the download links on this page. Only unaltered usage is permitted. Usage does not require explicit permission. The logos shall not be used in any manner that falsely implies employment by, or affiliation with, the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Science. Additionally, the DOE SC co-Branded logo may not be used for commercial purposes, including but not limited to endorsement of products or services.

Logo Description

The DOE SC co-Branded logo includes the Department's seal, U.S. Department of Energy word mark, vertical rule, and Office of Science word mark.

Clear Space

To ensure high visibility and uncluttered presentation, always maintain a minimum clear space around the DOE SC co-Branded logo. To determine the clear space, measure the width of the "E" in ENERGY in the word mark. The clear space must be equal to the width of the "E" on all sides. The clear space will change depending on the size of the logo.

Scaling

When using your software to scale the .EPS version of the logo up or down it is important to select the "Scale Strokes & Effects" option. This will ensure the gradient and strokes are retained at various sizes. Consult the user manual of your preferred vector-based software (e.g. Adobe® Illustrator®) for more information.

Padding

To ensure consistency the vertical and horizontal padding of the logo should NOT be altered from the original source files downloaded on this page.
