Kenneth Mims has been a professional STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) educator for twenty years, teaching robotics, computer programing, and physical science. In 2015, Mr. Mims founded the Science Prep Academy, a private STEM college and career preparatory school for Autistic students based on the belief that all students can become successful in STEM. Specializing in STEM educational solutions, Mr. Mims has traveled extensively promoting diversity and inclusion in STEM education and workforce development. Mr. Mims obtained a B.S. in physics from Hampton University and completed his master’s degree in science education at Georgia State University. He was elected to the Winslow Township (NJ) school board in 2004 and served through 2006. Mr. Mims is a Marshall Memorial Fellow, National Hope Street Group Teacher Fellow, New Leaders Council Alumni, and current participant in the American Enterprise Institute Leadership Network.
