Linda Antinone serves as chair of the mathematics department and teaches Pre-calculus, AP Calculus and AP Physics at R.L. Paschal High School. She loves using technology to collect data through sensors, connecting concepts in math to science. She is a co-author of Real-World Math with Vernier, the sixth edition of the Real-World Math book of activities using mathematical models to describe data sets. She has co-authored or contributed to six other books, six national multi-day workshops and conducted over two thousand hours of professional development for teachers on STEM education topics. Ms.  Antinone earned a B.S. in Mathematics and Physics Education and a Master of Arts degree in Mathematics, both from The Ohio State University. In her role as the Lead AP Science Teacher for the Dallas Public Schools, she worked with teachers, administrators and private donors to quadruple the number of students passing AP exams in math, science and English in just two years. As an urban teacher for thirty-four years, Ms. Antinone encourages students from all backgrounds to pursue STEM degrees through her daily mentoring and involvement with physics camps for young women. Ms. Antinone serves on writing and leadership teams locally and nationally. She is a recipient of the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics Teaching, the Teachers Teaching with Technology National Leadership Award and was the Fort Worth ISD Secondary Teacher of the Year.
