Dr. Remy Dou is an Associate Professor and National Science Foundation (NSF) Faculty Early Career Development Program (CAREER) awardee (AISL Award #1846167) with dual appointments in the Department of Teaching and Learning and the STEM Transformation Institute at Florida International University in Miami, Fl. He earned a B.S. in Biological Sciences and a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from Florida International University. Dr. Dou leads the Talking Science research lab, which examines the socioemotional aspects of learning science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) in non-school environments (e.g., home settings, after school programs), focusing on factors related to youths' participation in and identification with formal and informal STEM spaces and domains.
